The Cape Town Cycle Tour is the largest, timed cycling event in the world. 35,000 cyclists line up every year to ride the 109km route through some of the world’s most spectacular scenery that includes the iconic Table Mountain as a backdrop. The course follows a scenic circular route around the Cape Peninsula and back into Cape Town. It is the first event outside of Europe to be included the International Cycling Union’s Golden Bike Series.
Entry applications for the Cape Town Cycle Tour usually open in early September and close at the end of the month. Once an entry application is submitted and the closing date has been reached, entries will be allocated at random.
