The Haute Route Pyrenees is an unforgettable challenge for the world’s most committed amateur riders. Whether you are looking to compete, to enjoy a momentous week in one of Europe’s most iconic and beautiful cycling regions or simply aiming to get this epic challenge ticked off, the Haute Route Pyrenees will be a week to remember.
On the road, you will take on climbs of established classics like Tourmalet, Aubisque, Peyresourde, Port de Balès or Col du Portillon. And new to the event this year is what promises to be a superb Individual Time Trial from Bagnères-de-Luchon to the ski resort at Superbagnères.
You will travel a total of 910 kilometres and climb 19,300 metres during seven timed and ranked stages. As always the majestic Col du Tourmalet is the centerpiece and the highest point, but there are plenty of other climbs on quiet roads, surrounded by wildlife and unspoilt terrain, that showcase the Pyrenees at their best.
With only four event villages over seven days, you will benefit from staying several nights at the same place: two nights in Pau and three nights in Bagnères-de-Luchon. The Haute Route Pyrenees is our most rustic and naturally beautiful event boasting spectacular scenery and a rich small-town backdrop at one with local culture.
