The City2Surf is the world’s largest running event with more than 80,000 people running down the main streets of Sydney every year. The 14-kilometre course takes runners from Hyde Park in the Sydney CBD to the finish line at Bondi Beach. The event attracts professional runners looking to break the course record but mostly community participants looking to make the most of the closed roads and the festive atmosphere. Since it’s humble beginnings in 1971 the event has been steadily increasing in popularity every year, now attracting runners from all across the globe.
