The newly named Bathurst Cycling Classic incorporates several events across two days including; Criterium Racing, Hill Climb Championships and the much anticipated Blayney to Bathurst (B2B).
Blayney 2 Bathurst
The B2B produces a unique experience for locals and visiting riders to participate in either the 110km or 70km course which winds its way through beautiful autumn countryside before finishing with The Village at the iconic Mount Panorama. Once again this year's B2B has been included as one of only two Australian qualifying events for the UCI 2018 Gran Fondo World Championships which will be held in Varese, Italy from 30 August - 2 September.
NSW Hill Climb Championships will take place on Saturday 21 April at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. The 4.1km course will start in Harris Park and finish in Sulman and Reid Parks a top the famous race track.
Criterium Racing will also take place on Saturday 21 April with all races held in the heart of Bathurst CBD. Crit racing in Bathurst CBD gives spectators a chance to be close to the action as they line the street circuit, ensuring a front row view of the race with riders coming around every few minutes to complete a lap. A close sprint finish to all races is almost always assured. Enjoy the cycling action while you tuck into some local delicacies from the street food stalls that will be set up in the criterium precinct.
This year, the Family Fun challenge will be held on Saturday 21 April and gives families the opportunity to race along the same CBD criterium circuit used by the elite riders. This is a free event and registration is not required.
